The One With the Grand Finale

[Scene: Monica, Chandler, Joey, Phoebe, Ross and Rachel are sitting on the couch at Central perk, with the Friends Theme Song in the background]

Everyone (looking to the camera): Hi

Monica: As you probably already know, we will be showing now, the grand finale for the show friends.

Phoebe: We are so proud to have had 10 wonderful seasons with this great audience.

Chandler: Yeah, and we like, as a thanks, to do the best episode possible, in the whole history of Friends.

Rachel: For those of you who haven't watched Friends in a while, we'll try to get you caught up with the whole story.

Joey: Even if you haven't watched Friends that often, you probably already know that Chandler and Monica are married and are expecting a baby.

Ross: Yeah, and any other questions you still might have will be answered now. So sit back, relax and enjoy...

Opening Credits

[Scene: Monica and Chandler's apartment, the gang is just hanging out]

Phoebe: I can't believe you guys are going to have a baby any second now (to Chandler and Monica).

Monica: I know.

Phoebe: Have you decided what you're gonna name him... ... or her?

Joey: Oh no, not the whole name thing again.

Monica: What Joey?

Joey: Name chosing always creates a problem. It happened with Ben (facing Ross), to little baby girl Chandler...

Chandler: Man, these kindergarden flashbacks,(pounding on his own head)

Ross: Don't worry Joey, I don't think they'll have that problem. I mean, in their case, they're not dealing with lesbian parents, or having to name your brother's child.

Monica: No, Chandler and I decided that when the moment comes, we'll know.

Rachel: Aw, that's sweet.

Joey: But what if you're having the baby inside a cab. What are you going to name the kid, No Smoking?

(Everyone looks at Joey)

Ross: Well, I have to go pick up Ben, I'm going to take him to the movies.

Rachel: Oh really what are you going to go see?

Ross: I don't know, probably some of these new children's movies.

Joey: Oh, take to go see Little Mermaid, it's THE best.

(Everyone looks at Joey again)

Joey: What?

Ross: Anyway I got to go.

Rachel: You mind if I go with you. I'm really bored. It's exhausting doing nothing all day.

Ross: Sure, but are you okay with seeing a little kids movie. They're usually a little dumb.

Joey: (to Ross, really seriously) Little Mermaid is not dumb.

[Scene Changes to Ross and Rachel, after they've picked up Ben, are on their way to the movie theater]

Ross: Ooh, Rachel, I just realized. I need to make just a little stop at the ATM.

Rachel: Sure. In fact I need to do that too.

[Ross, Ben and Rachel enter the ATM vestibulee]

Ross: Go ahead first.

Rachel: Thank you.

Ross: Oh look it started to rain

Rachel: Really? It looked like it was going to be a beautiful night.

(Lightning Strikes)

Rachel: (as talking to the sky outside) I said looked like.

(Light begins to blink and slowly fades. Oh, oh, where have we seen this scene before?)

Rachel: Oh, oh, I think I made it mad.

(Ross rushes over to the door)

Ross: Oh no, it's locked.

Rachel: Oh no, Ross, you think we're going to be here a long time?

Ross: I don't know. Why don't you ask your little friend (pointing to the sky)?

Rachel: Look that's weird.

Ross: What?

Rachel: Some places still have power.

Ross: Oh, that. That's because places like hospitals and power plants have their own generator. You know, funny you say that. I have a nice story...

Rachel: Oh, it's gonna be a long night.

[Scene change to Chandler and Monica's apartment, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Monica are remembering and making fun of Joey's past plays]

Chandler: No, I've got the best one. (to Joey) Remember that one play where you were sitting on this chair and your shirt got caught in some stage hook.

Phoebe: Oh, I remember. The little hook took you off the ground.

Joey: Come on guys. That was a million years ago. You still remeber that?

Monica: How could we forget. When your foot got off the ground, you were so shocked, you forgot about the play and started saying "Look, I'm flying".

Chandler: (mimicking Joey) "Look at me, I'm an airplane"

(Monica suddenly stands up)

Monica: Oh, my water broke

(Everyone gets up to help except Phoebe)

Phoebe: Good one

Phoebe: (takes a while but realizes) Oh my god, your water broke.

[Scene changes back to Ross, Rachel and Ben]

Rachel: Oh, my god, we could be stuck here forever.

Ross: Well, at least Ben is asleep.

Rachel: Oh, he looks just like when he was a little baby.

Ross: Oh, my god you're shivering (to Rachel).

Rachel: No, I'm okay.

Ross: Here take this.

Rachel: Thanks. You know what I was thinking?

Rachel: No, not that. Anytime now you're going to be an uncle.

Ross: Yeah, it's pretty great. Good thing I still have that beeper I had when Carol was pregnant. When Monica is having the baby, Chandler can beep me.

Rachel: Can you imagine if Monica has the baby at the exact time we're stuck here?

(beeper beeps)

Rachel: Oh, look at that. What are the odds?

[Scene changes to the hospital, where Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Monica arrived]

Phoebe: I'm going to the bathroom. Don't have the baby till I'm back.

Monica: I'll try.

(they walk up to the reception)

Chandler: (to recepcionist) A baby please.

Monica: Excuse him. Is Dr. Smith around? My water broke.

Recepcionist: I'm sorry but Dr. Smith is out of town. Would you like to see Dr. Ryan?

Chandler: Well, a baby is coming out of her, so my guess is that her options are pretty much narrowed down.

Recepcionist: Okay, I'm going to call him. (talking to one of the nurses)Can you take her to one of the maternity rooms, please?

Monica: Joey, you can come if you want. You only have to give during the actual birth.

Joey: No, that's okay. Birth grosses me out, and also someone needs to stay here to wait for Phoebe. I'll come up in a bit.

[Scene switches back to the ATM vestibule, Ross is awake and Rachel and Ben are asleep]

Ross: (thinking to himself) I'm going to be a father and an uncle. I can't believe that my little is having a baby. Who would've thought? Specially with Chandler. Oh I'm so happy for ...

Rachel (in her sleep): Ross, oh Ross (in a you know... way)

Ross: (in shock)

(Rachel continues and Ross can't help but let out a pleased sigh, that is enough to wake Rachel and make her realize what was happening)

Rachel: Oh my god Ross, what happened?

Ross: Nothing, you were just sleeptalking.

Rachel: Oh my god Ross... wow (again. what does this remind you of?)

Ross: What?

Rachel: Nothing.

Ross: Rach, what?

(Ross goes up to Rachel and kisses her...)

(... and she kisses him back.)

Rachel: What does this mean? Are we getting...

Ross: Yes

Rachel: Oh my god

(They begin to kiss again)

(Right when they're kissing the rain stops and the power is back on)

Rachel: We better go to the hospital, Monica is probably giving birth right now.

Ross: Yeah, isn't it great. First we gotta stop by Carol's place and leave Ben.

(Ross wakes up Ben gently)

[Scene: The hospital, in the reception Joey is still waiting for Phoebe]

(Phoebe appears)

Phoebe: Oh hey Joey

Joey: Why did you take so long?

Phoebe: I couldn't find the restroom. I looked everywhere but I started to get the feeling that I was going in circles.

Joey: Phoebe, the restroom is right here (he points to a door beside him).

Phoebe: Oh. (and hurries through the door)

(She immediately comes out of the bathroom)

Phoebe: Wrong bathroom. (and hurries into the next door)

(Ross and Rachel arrive at the hospital after leaving off Ben)

Ross: (to Rachel) I think it's best that we don't tell them about us until after they have the baby.

Rachel: Good Idea. Hey look there's Joey.

Ross: Hey Joey. Where is everybody?

Joey: Hi, Monica and Chandler are in the room and I'm just waiting for Phoebe, she's in the bathroom.

(Phoebe leaves)

Joey: Man you were in there a long time

Phoebe: Well when you gotta go, you gotta go.

Joey: Oh man, now I gotta go.

(Ross and Rachel are hugging each other)

Phoebe: Oh my god you guys, are you...?

Rachel: (motions as a yes)

Phoebe: Again? This is so great.

Ross: Phoebe, don't say anything to Monica just yet. We don't want to "steal her thunder".

(Chandler comes running)

Chandler: He's here. Little Nicholas is here.

(Joey comes out from the bathroom)

Chandler: (to joey) I'm a father.

(Everyone hugs Chandler): Congratulations.

Chandler: I'm a father, I'm a father. (Realizes the importance of this) Wow, I'm a father. Hold on a second I need to sit down

Rachel: Chandler, you're going to be a great father.

Chandler: Wow, I think I've never been this happy in my whole life.

Ross: Well, can we see her?

Chandler: I guess so. Come on.

[Chandler, Ross, Rachel, Joey and Phoebe enter the room where Monica is in]

Ross, Rachel, Joey and Phoebe: Oh my god. Is this him?

Monica: Say hello, to little Nicholas.

Joey: (hugs Chandler and feels like crying) Hold on a second I got something in my eye.

Rachel: Oh Monica's so cute.

Monica: It's like I've always dreamed. I'm surrounded by a husband I love, holding my child and surrounded by my best friends.

Everyone ( comes closer to hug Nicholas)

Phoebe: Ross and Rachel are back together.

Ross and Rachel: Phoebe!

Phoebe: Oh, I'm sorry.

Monica: Really, you guys that's so great.

Chandler: I can't believe this.

Joey: Man this thing in my eye.

Monica: I'm so happy for you guys.

Rachel: Thank you, but it's little Nick's moment.

Ending Credits

[Scene: Central Perk, Phoebe and Joey are talking]

Phoebe: Wow can you believe this.

Joey: Yeah, yesterday was a big night. Little Nick was born. Ross and Rachel got together.

Phoebe: Yeah, what didn't happen last night?

Joey: I know

(they both look at one another and start kissing passionally)
